About Michael Chittock - Founder
Artistic Woodworks LLC has been conducting business in Tucson for over 25 years and specializing in cabinet refinishing and faux painting.
My academic education as a fine arts painter and the years of experience working as a cabinet re-finisher, have led me to develop unique techniques to resolve the complex problem of cabinet refinishing.
The processes I have developed involve the use of custom-mixed, pigmented glazes created on location to satisfy the particular needs of each customer.
The glazes are produced using low-odor, water-borne lacquers that will not yellow, and are rapid-drying and non-flammable. The unique finishes I have developed work exceptionally well on restoring old and worn cabinets.
Finishes damaged by water, aging, or yellowing can be restored to their original condition or changed in appearance to customer specifications without the use of chemical paint strippers.
The Artistic Woodworks LLC system works exceptionally well on notoriously problematic whitewashed cabinets, returning them to their original color and condition or adjusting the appearance to the look of natural wood.
